WHO RUNS THIS
About
One of the greatest seasons of my life as a supporter.
The author
My name is Lamine DIABY. I was born in Paris, grew up there, and started following PSG in 1993, when I was eleven. The first team I loved was Ginola, Valdo and Weah, then the Luis Fernandez era, the 1996 Cup Winners' Cup, the French Cup runs, the European nights at the Parc. A club with real history, rooted in Île-de-France, and one that people enjoyed mocking for a long time.
Paris is a cosmopolitan city. I was born there, I am proud of it, and I support PSG.
The Qatar years, and the falls
Since the Qatar takeover, I watched players I admired walk in. Zlatan, Beckham, Di Maria, Messi, Neymar. And with them, the disappointments we all know: Barcelona 2017, Manchester United 2019, Bayern in Lisbon 2020, Benzema's Real in 2022, Dortmund in the 2024 semi-final. Every spring, the same ritual. Hope, then the fall.
Why this site
This 2025 team will stand as one of the greatest moments of my life as a supporter. First because of the trophies. A sextuple, a feat only Guardiola's Barça in 2009 and Flick's Bayern in 2020 had pulled off before. PSG has entered football history for good.
And then because of how they did it. Total football, young players who really fight for it, who care about the public and show us love and respect. They know they are privileged. They also know they need us just as much as we need them.
Luis Enrique instilled a mentality in this group, and it is that mentality that made the rest possible. That is what I wanted to tell.
I wanted to pay tribute with what I know how to do: well-made websites. My way of being in the stands.
What you will find
A seven-act narrative, from the doubt of August 2024 to the sextuple. Player pages that tell what each one actually brought to the season, rather than rewriting Wikipedia. Long-form tactical analysis. A retro game inspired by Captain Tsubasa, in development. And supporter testimonials in the "Ici c'est Paris" section.
How it is made
Built solo, in Astro and Tailwind, deployed on Vercel. The game runs on Phaser. Player illustrations are by Gülay Dundar, an illustrator whose work I admire.
For sources, I rely on API-Football, UEFA, the LFP and the specialist press. When something is not verifiable, I say so rather than make it up. I am not an accredited journalist, I carry no press badge. Everything written here speaks for me alone.
The business model
Free for everyone. Funded by non-intrusive advertising (Google AdSense), and later by sales of the game when it ships. No paywall, no paid newsletter.
