Meanwhile, in France...

While Europe is learning to look at this PSG differently, France sees the other side of the project: consistency. On January 5, 2025, in Doha, Paris win the Trophée des Champions against Monaco. It is not yet a night of legend. It is something else: a title taken without fuss, in the middle of a season when every match has to confirm that the idea holds.

In Ligue 1, domination does not only tell the story of a gap in level. It tells the story of a team able to repeat, to keep going, to hold the same intensity when the stage is less glamorous and the trap is quieter. 84 points, 26 wins, 92 goals, 19 points clear of Marseille: Paris do not move through their league as if waiting for Europe. They build their rhythm there.

This PSG is far too advanced for the rest of Ligue 1, it's plain for everyone to see.

The domestic treble is complete: Trophée des Champions, Ligue 1, Coupe de France. In a week, Munich awaits. But before playing for Europe, Paris have already done what great teams must do: refuse to let expected trophies become trophies taken for granted.
